"la Caixa" Foundation has announced a call for applications to collaborate in projects that respond to current social needs and that are aimed at people who are in vulnerable situations, through non-profit organizations in Catalonia.

Areas of Action

• The promotion of personal autonomy and care for aging, disability and illness:
  • Elderly people and challenges derived from aging.
  • People with disabilities or mental disorders.
  • Humanization of health.
• Fight against poverty in the family environment and social exclusion (includes cultural activities for social inclusion).
• Socio-labor insertion.
• Interculturality and social action.

Funding Information

Applications may be submitted in one of the following ways:

• Mode 1
  • Up to € 40,000 may be requested.
  • The amount requested may not exceed 75% of the total cost of the project.
  • If the project is selected, the entity agrees to contribute at least 25% of the total cost of the project according to the budget presented, regardless of the amount of aid granted.
• Mode 2
  • They may request from € 40,000 and up to 100,000 €.
  • The amount requested may not exceed 50% of the total cost of the project.
  • In the event that the project is selected, the entity agrees to contribute at least 50% of the total cost of the project according to the budget presented, regardless of the amount of aid awarded.

Eligibility Criteria

• The entities that can present themselves to the call are:
  • Non-profit entities.
  • Entities of the social economy whose statutes explicitly state, among the stated purposes, the main objective of the social interest or social cohesion.
• Entities that are part of the public sector and corporate foundations (business or banking) are excluded from this call.
