United Way of the Quad Cities' COVID-19 Rebuilding grants are designed to provide fast and flexible funding to meet the changing and unanticipated needs of nonprofits on the front lines.

All health & human services 501(c)(3) and 170(b) organizations in Scott or Rock Island counties are eligible to apply to address evolving essential needs and unique challenges from the impact of COVID-19 and affect education, income and health outcomes across the community:

Funding Priority 

• Providing essential needs like food, shelter, utilities, hygiene, items for the most vulnerable populations:
  • Food/Meals
  • Hygiene supplies
  • Shelter
  • Rent/Mortgage Assistance
  • Utility Assistance
  • Coronavirus Protection Supplies
• Addressing the immediate economic impact by getting people back to work and financially stable:
  • Employment supports (i.e.: training and placement)
  • Employment supports (i.e.: childcare, transportation)
• Ensuring the health and emotional wellness of the children and adults:
  • Healthcare (i.e.: prescription costs, medical supplies)
  • Mental Health and Substance Abuse services
• Getting kids back on track for learning and succeeding in school and life:
  • Early Childhood Education and Childcare
  • School-Age Academic Supports

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for funding for either opportunity, the applicant organization must:

• Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or 170(b) government entity
• Have been in operation for more than two years
• Follow industry-standard accounting practices
• Have an established non-discrimination policy
• Have a volunteer board (nonprofits only)
