The Arab Foundation for Freedoms and Equality announces the opening of its call for proposals for small grants to support Gender and Bodily Rights Groups in Egypt.

Funding Information

• Project Length:  12 months
• Grant sizes:  10,000 USD

Eligible Activities

Activities that focus on security, safety and emergency, Projects / activities that support creating safe spaces and support groups online and offline, Projects / activities that build communities and campaigning.

Eligibility Criteria

• Budget must adhere to grant guidelines (10,000 USD)
• Proposed project must be relevant to the theme of the call (Activities that focus on security, safety and emergency, Projects/ activities that support creating safe spaces and support groups online and offline, Projects/ activities that build communities and campaigning.)
• Project must be implemented in relevant geographical area (Egypt)
• Project timeline must adhere to grant guidelines (12 months)
• Applicant must not be an AFE staff member or relative
• Applicant must not have received two consecutive competitive grants from AFE
• Applicant must not have an ongoing grant with AFE
• Cost estimation in budget breakdown must be realistic
• Indirect costs must not exceed 20% of total grant budget (2,000 USD)
• Budget items must be clear with notes explaining unclear items where necessary
• Budget must be prepared in USD
• Shortlisted applicants must further engage in the participatory selection procedures.
