The City of Greater Bendigo is seeking applications for its usual Community Grants Program.
Although the Community Grants Program has returned to normal, the City encourages applicants to consider the ongoing needs of our communities recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Goals
The City’s six key goals:
- Lead and govern for all
- Wellbeing and fairness
- Strengthening the economy
- Presentation and managing growth
- Environmental sustainability
- Embracing our culture and heritage
The grant programs provide an opportunity for applicants to develop projects that complement the key goals.
Funding Information
Medium grants - up to $10,000
Features of an eligible application
- The project is based in the Greater Bendigo municipality
- The project aligns with the City’s Community Plan 2017–2021 vision and goals and/or other local community plan goals
- The project will generate positive outcomes for Greater Bendigo residents and/or visitors
- Applicants that demonstrate their own contribution in the form of funds or in kind support to the project have a greater likelihood of a successful application
- There is demonstrated support for the initiative from other groups within the community (such as letters of support and/or a financial commitment to the project)
- The applicant is able to demonstrate sound project planning including proof of costs itemized in the project budget
Who is eligible to apply?
To be eligible for funding under the grant programs, applicants must:
- Be a legal entity (e.g. an incorporated group, a registered business) or
- An unincorporated not for profit community group, or an individual that has an auspicing body that is a legal entity.
