The Moss Side Fund is seeking applications to strengthen the local community and allow groups and organisations to grow and bring their own project ideas to life.
After recent tragic events in Moss Side, MSV Housing, One Manchester, Arawak and Jigsaw have come together to offer grant funding to local groups and organisations providing vital services.
Funding Priorities
- Promote community cohesion. The Fund wants ideas that bring the community together, reduce tensions and build on Moss Side's community spirit.
- Provide positive activities and opportunities for young people. The Fund wants ideas that empower young people to fulfill their ambitions, particularly in new and exciting ways
Funding Information
Awards of between £500 and £10,000 will be granted.
What can be funded
- Costs of activities
- Volunteer expenses
- Equipment and materials
- Training / education costs
- Development funding, specialist support
- Hire of space / equipment
- Other costs that relate directly to your project idea
What can't be funded
- Activities that have already taken place
- Activities without the necessary health and safety and government regulations
- Activities that are outside of Moss Side
- Alcohol/Tobacco/Gambling
- Activities that do not comply with government regulations regarding COVID19
Eligibility Criteria
- Existing constituted organisations working in Moss Side and Hulme
- Informal groups and individuals are also welcome to apply, but they will need to do so with the support of an existing organisation.
- Applications over £5000 should be from partnerships.

- Provide identification and proof of bank details
- Sign a funding agreement to accept our terms
- Adhere to any current government guidelines in relation to COVID19
- Agree to keep in touch and report back on any activities that you are seeking funding for
