Call for Proposals for Emergency and Extraordinary Grants Program (Australia)

The Council of the City of Gold Coast has announced a call for proposals for the Emergency and Extraordinary Grants Program.

The Emergency and Extraordinary Grants Program is allocated funding each financial year to provide an emergency or extraordinary source of grant funding for community organisations who meet the program requirements.

Applications for funding under this program will only be considered if a community organisation can demonstrate that the requirement for funding was unforeseen and therefore warrants consideration by Council (or its delegate) outside of its competitive funding programs.

Applicants must be able to:

  • not have received an emergency or extraordinary grant from Council within the previous 12 months
  • demonstrate that the provision of the grant is in the public interest
  • demonstrate that the grant will benefit residents of the Gold Coast
  • demonstrate why a competitive grant application cannot be submitted via other programs under this policy
  • complete the project within 12 months of the date of remittance of funds.

  • be a community organisation
  • operate within the Gold Coast
