The Spartanburg County Foundation's COVID-19 Grant Opportunity (United States)

The Spartanburg County Foundation COVID-19 Grant Opportunity is focused on building the capacity of nonprofit organizations providing direct services to communities that are disproportionally impacted by COVID-19.

Populations disproportionately impacted by this crisis include:

  • Elderly
  • Individuals experiencing homelessness or are housing insecure
  • Children
  • Service/Part-time and/or Seasonal workers (including hospitality industry workers)
  • Healthcare workers
  • Communities of Color
  • Immigrants and/or residents with limited English language proficiency

Funding Information

Grant amounts awarded will range from $10,000-$50,000.

Eligibility Criteria

The Spartanburg County Foundation considers only those organizations and institutions that are recognized as 501(c)(3) non-profit and/or tax-exempt entities that are providing direct services to the residents of Spartanburg County, South Carolina.

The Spartanburg County Foundation COVID-19 Grant Opportunity will not provide funding for:

  • Projects/organizations not serving Spartanburg County residents
  • Fundraising projects
  • Endowment development or capital campaigns
  • Sponsorships

Requirements

  • Verification of tax-exempt status (IRS determination letter)
  • List of Board of Directors, officers, and staff
  • Annual Budget
  • Audited financial statements OR most recent IRS Form 990, if audit was not conducted
