Blaby District Council announces Coronavirus Recovery - Special Grant Program

Blaby District Council is pleased to announce the Coronavirus Recovery - Special Grant Program.

In light of the Coronavirus pandemic and after speaking to local voluntary sector organisations they have made some changes to this year’s programme. They are making a larger amount of funding available in the first round and they will prioritise projects that address needs that have arisen directly from the pandemic.

Funding Information

In these cases they are also increasing small capital and revenue grants to £1000 and introducing a more flexible approach to project costs to support organisations that have lost income during this time.

Eligibility Criteria

The grants scheme is open to applications from a range of VCS organisations:

  • Community groups, youth clubs and sports clubs
  • Registered Charities
  • Social Enterprises (such as Community Interest Companies)
  • Schools, Academies and PTA/fundraising groups for extra-curricular activities or projects only
  • Religious or faith based organisations for non-religious projects open to all irrespective of faith
  • Parish and Town Councils
