The Mid Sussex District Council is seeking applications for its Corporate Grants program that benefits to the residents of Mid Sussex District.
Priority Areas
All applications will need to demonstrate how their activity can help the Council to deliver on at least one of its Corporate Priorities:
- Financial Independence
- Effective and Responsive Services
- Sustainable Economic Growth
- Strong and Resilient communities
Types of Grant
- Facility/Capital grants:
- The council holds Fund which can be used to support capital projects concerning works to:
- Community buildings
- Recreation facilities (play areas and sports)
- Public artworks
- This money often has restrictions attached and can only be used for specific locations.
- Community and economic development fund grants:
- Grants of up to £5,000.
- For projects where money is needed for an activity or piece of equipment which will benefit the community or contribute to the local economy.
Eligibility Criteria
- The grant will be of direct benefit to the residents of Mid Sussex District:
- At least 80% of the people that will benefit from the project must be residents of Mid Sussex
- Applicants are a:
- Not-for-profit group
- Charity
- School
- Parish or town council
- Applicants are a community group/club/society
- Applicants society must be properly formed and has a:
- Governing document or a constitution
- Bank account and financial records - or financial projections if newly formed
- Applicants’ organisation must be open to all and have an equal opportunities statement.
