Rockland Trust is accepting applications for its Racial Equity Grant Program to combat racism and promote fairness, equity, and justice throughout their communities.
Funding Information
Rockland Trust’s affiliated charitable foundations are now offering a Racial Equity Grant program, which will provide local nonprofits with funding ranging from $1,000 - $5,000 to support projects that advance racial equity within their organizations and communities.
Eligible Projects
Examples of eligible projects may include:
- Racial equity training at the Board and/or staff level
- Education events to foster dialogue and understanding
- Organizational policy review
- Facilitated purchases of books and materials
Eligibility Criteria
- Nonprofits in good standing with the IRS that are recognized as 501(c)(3) Public Charities
- Must be headquartered, and operate in, at least one of the following areas: Barnstable County, MA; Bristol County, MA; Dukes County, MA; Middlesex County, MA; Nantucket County, MA; Norfolk County, MA; Plymouth County, MA; Suffolk County, MA; Worcester County, MA; and State of Rhode Island
- Projects funded through this initiative must be completed within 12 months from the award date
- Preference will be given to support projects that would not occur within the organization or community without external funding
- Organizations that receive support from the affiliated Charitable Foundations are eligible to apply without impacting current or future applications for funding.
