The Manistee County Community Foundation is seeking applications for its Community Response Fund to provide support to area nonprofit organizations, schools, and governments on the front lines serving those most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Established through a cooperative effort between the Manistee County Community Foundation, United Way of Manistee County, and the Manistee County Human Services Collaborative Body, the Community Response Fund provides a collective vehicle for charitable giving and supports collaborative grantmaking and programming in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding Information Initially, grant awards will be considered for requests up to $2,500. However, applicants are encouraged to contact the Foundation if their immediate needs for funding exceed this amount. Eligibility Criteria In order to apply for a grant applicants’ organization must be an eligible applicant or applying under an eligible fiscal sponsor. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, school districts, units of government (including recognized tribal governments), and other tax-exempt organizations that serve Manistee County residents. Requirements The Community Response Fund will be used to: Quickly move resources to where they are needed most and adapt to evolving needs Give added support to those organizations on the front lines of caring for and assisting vulnerable and/or disproportionately affected members of our community Support social service organizations serving as the safety net for those experiencing new hardships due to employment insecurity or other economic burdens Increase community collaboration and coordination of services in response to the COVID-19 pandemic For more information, visit Community Response Fund.
