FNPW’s Community Conservation Grants - Australia

The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife (FNPW) invites grant applications for its Community Conservation Grants to assist in the protection of native species, habitats, landscapes and cultural heritage. Grants are available for both field projects and education programs that have a direct outcome for nature conservation in Australia. All proposals are evaluated by FNPW's Projects Committee based on funding priorities, funds available and quality and quantity of projects submitted. Focus Areas FNPW Community Conservation Grants aim to fund urgent and high priority projects in the following areas: Healing Land - Protection, restoration, rehabilitation and revegetation of degraded habitats to ensure their ability to sustain native species. Saving Species - Scientific research with tangible conservation outcomes and on-ground works to conserve Australia’s threatened species. Indigenous Heritage - Conserving and celebrating Australia’s indigenous heritage as part of the gift we leave to future generations. Growing Parks - Improving National Park facilities for the enjoyment of all, to foster and encourage the appreciation of nature. Funding Information The 2021 grants round is a small grants round with a total pool of $75,000 for allocation. Grants made through this program are one off and cover activities/projects that are carried out over a 12 – 18 month period of time. Applications seeking up to $10,000 that show value for money and include co-contributions will be given preference. In some instances part-funding may be offered. Projects requiring more than $10,000 may be eligible for this round. Projects requiring more than $25,000 may be eligible for co-funding or fundraising appeals outside of this round allocation. Any project application for funding over $25,000 must be discussed with FNPW prior to submission and a letter of invitation from FNPW must be included with submission. Projects requiring more than $10,000 may be eligible for future co-funding or fundraising appeals. Eligibility Criteria FNPW considers proposals for funding from: Federal and state National Park agencies Agencies working with National Park agencies to increase the amount of protected high conservation value land or for the benefit of Australia’s natural and cultural heritage Individuals Not-for-profit and for-profit organisations with an ABN Applicants will not be eligible for this round if they are: Requesting funding for wildlife rescue and rehabilitation projects, including pre-release enclosures. These projects may be funded under Wildlife Heroes program. Requesting funding for bushfire recovery revegetation projects. These projects may be funded under the FNPW Bushfire Recovery program.
