Study of the U.S. Institute (SUSI) for Student Leaders is now accepting applications for a program on Women’s Leadership.
The institute may be offered as a traditional in-person program, or a virtual program. The final decision on program format will be made in spring 2021, contingent upon health, safety, and travel factors related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Study of the U.S. Institute (SUSI) for Student Leaders is an intensive short-term academic program whose purpose is to provide undergraduate students with a deeper understanding of the United States, while simultaneously enhancing their management skills. The five-week program consists of seminar discussions, readings, group presentations, and lectures. Classroom activities are complemented by educational travel, activities, and other opportunities within the local setting. The program includes an academic residency component of approximately four weeks and a domestic study tour of approximately one week. During the academic residency, participants also have the opportunity to engage in educational and cultural activities outside of the classroom.
The virtual program will include synchronous and asynchronous learning, lectures, small group discussions, videos, reading, panels, leadership development, assignments, and individual and group activities.? Participants will be expected to fully participate in the entire virtual program from their location.
