The Europe Foundation (EPF) is pleased to announce a call for proposals aimed at promoting participatory civic monitoring and advocacy in Georgia under the Foundation’s Engage and Monitor for Change program.
The call is designed to foster active and informed participation of Georgian community groups, CSOs, and media outlets in the political, social and economic decision-making in their regions by building capacity of civic groups, encouraging monitoring and evaluation of policy reforms, and facilitating public discussions and network building.
Objectives
The main objectives of the competition are:
- Supporting initiatives that support civil society and to hold a dialogue between state structures of the government transparency and Accountability, Public Policy and the State to improve the quality of programs, and to improve public services;
- CSOs, community groups and in the civil monitoring and advocacy process promoting long-term cooperation between media outlets;
- Strengthen local communities so that they can take effective steps to achieve concrete positive changes at the local level.
Funding Information
- Maximum of the grant amount provided for the competition project, amount is 60,000 GEL.
- The minimum duration of the project must be at least 12 of the month.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications can be submitted by CSOs registered and operating in Georgia, as well as coalitions of local CSOs, community groups and media outlets, and networks. Media outlets can only cooperate with qualified CSOs Participate in the competition.
- Political parties are not eligible to participate in the competition and organizations that have project goals and objectives of any kind they have incompatible interests.
- Should not be involved in project implementation (as part of a grant Remunerated employees): public servants, political parties and representatives of organizations, employees of the Public Broadcaster, or others.
- Individuals who have any kind of incompatibility of interests with the goals and objectives of the project they have.
- Interested organizations within the competition only one project they have the ability to import.
