The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced a call for proposals for Improved Safety of Women in Serbia.
The project “Improving Safety of Women in Serbia” is anchored in the normative frameworks of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence (also known as the Istanbul Convention)1 , and is also in alignment with EU accession standards. The project is funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs through a direct agreement with UN Women.
The project will target women’s CSOs and support them to implement context-specific outreach activities to inform rural women of the available and accessible mechanisms for protection from VAWG and gender-based discrimination. In this context, UN Women is issuing a Call for Proposals to select Responsible Parties to contribute to the project.
In this regard, the chosen CSO is expected to undertake activities under the following indicators:
