The Research Council of Norway is seeking proposals to Support Networking to Promote Gender Balance in Norwegian Research.

Goal 5 Gender equality
- Up to 2 million for analysis assignments in connection with BalanseHub: BalanseHub will collect and share useful and necessary knowledge from the research front, and be an arena for dialogue and exchange of experience between the participating projects. The funds will go to a player who can compile and analyze experiences from previous and ongoing balance projects based on, among other things:
- Knowledge of which measures actually have an effect
- What approaches and methods have been used?
- Which processes were chosen and brought forward, and possibly. Did not lead?
- What results have been achieved (not just counting women at the top)?
- How is the importance of gender balance assessed against other goals in the organization?
- Does the work meet resistance, obstacles, if so what?
- Who has been involved in and led the project?
- Learning, course change along the way?
- Ripple effects, collaboration, networking, learning from each other:
- Concrete effects of good or bad gender balance
- Summary of the activity and recommendations for the future
- Up to 1 million for participation in BalanseHub: The funds will go to ongoing initiative projects in BALANSE that want to participate in BalanseHub over a two-year period. BalanseHub will collect and share useful and necessary knowledge from the research front, and be an arena for dialogue and exchange of experience between the participating projects. The application must provide a picture of one's own challenges and goals and planned measures that meet the challenges in a good way. The measures can cover the entire organization, a faculty, a department, a department or the like. The measures should mainly be aimed at structural and cultural challenges such as management culture, organizational culture, organizational changes, etc. The application must be clearly anchored in the management.

Assessment Criteria
Grant applications will be assessed in relation to the following criteria:
- Excellence
- Originality/Novelty
- The extent to which the concept is sound, credible and novel.
- Solidity
- The extent to which the project objectives are clear and relevant.
- The quality of the proposed deliverables from the project.
- Impact
- Potential
- The extent to which the expected effects are specified.
- The extent to which expected impacts on the system and societal levels are specified.
- Knowledge sharing and exploitation
- The quality of the proposed communication and dissemination activities.
- The extent to which it is credible that the proposed outputs will contribute to the specified effects and impact.
- Implementation
- Project Manager and project group
- The extent to which the Project Manager and project group are qualified and have the necessary expertise and are positioned to implement the project.
- The extent to which management structures and procedures are appropriate.
- Plans and management
- The extent to which the work plan is clear and understandable, and the time table realistic
- The extent to which objectives and measures are coherent.
- The extent to which the project has the support of the leadership of the
- Project Owner and any partners, and the allocation of roles in the project is clear.
- The extent to which the budget is realistic and appropriate, and resources are allocated so that each of the partners can fulfil their role.
- The extent to which potential risks have been discussed.
