The Sir Jules Thorn Charitable Trust is inviting applications for its Ann Rylands Small Donations programme 2020.
The Ann Rylands Small Donations programme makes grants of up to £1,500 to support smaller charities across the UK providing support for older people, people with disabilities or others facing difficulties in their lives.
This programme does not award multi-year funding or provide substantial sums for capital appeals.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications will only be accepted from charities registered in the UK. Applications are not accepted from faith-based charities, charities operating outside the UK or for multi-year funding.
- Potential applicants should note that it is not possible for the Trust to make donations under this programme to:
- organisations which are not registered as a charity in the UK. Regrettably the Trust cannot consider requests for financial help from community groups which are not registered charities or from, or on behalf of, individuals
- charities that have been registered in the UK for less than 2 years
- overseas organisations, or to organisations based in the UK who use their funds for charitable purposes overseas
- faith-based charities
- hospices (as these are able to apply to the Trust’s Hospice Fund)
- ammonising charities (i.e. those that give grants to others), village and community halls, uniformed groups (such as Scouts and Guides), carnivals and arts festivals, and charities engaged in political activism g. charities which have received funding from the Trust within the previous 12 months.
