USAID: Fight Slavery and Trafficking-In-Persons (FS/TIP) Activity - Bangladesh

The United States Agency for International Development in Bangladesh (USAID/Bangladesh) is seeking applications for a Cooperative Agreement from qualified US and non-US organizations to implement the Fight Slavery and Trafficking-In-Persons (FS/TIP) Activity program in Bangladesh.

USAID/Bangladesh is seeking assistance to counter human trafficking (internal and transnational sex and labor trafficking) and child marriage in Bangladesh. The Fight Slavery and Trafficking in Persons (FS/TIP), a five-year (2021-2026) activity, will reduce vulnerability to trafficking in persons (TIP) and child marriage and support the fundamental freedoms and human rights that will increase the capacity of criminal justice sectors actors and institutions to prosecute trafficking offenders, enhance the public’s awareness of human trafficking and its dangers to prevent the risk of trafficking, support skills and behavior development for youth and adults thereby fostering legitimate employment opportunities, improve safety in society to protect trafficking survivors, and coordinate effective partnerships among stakeholders.

Objectives

  • Objective 1: Prosecution- Increased responsiveness of criminal justice actors
  • Objective 2: Prevention - Strengthened capacity of communities to identify trafficking incidents/victims and to take action and supported skill and behavior development for youth and adults that foster legitimate employment opportunities
  • Objective 3: Protection - Improved access of trafficking victims to standardized assistance
  • Objective 4: Partnership – Coordinated and effective partnerships with stakeholders to counter human trafficking

Funding Information

  • USAID expects to award one Cooperative Agreement to the responsible applicant whose application, conforming to this NOFO, offers the best prospects for success and value. The anticipated total federal funding amount is approximately $10,000,000. The period of performance anticipated is five (5) years.

Eligible Applicants

Eligibility for this NOFO is restricted; Private International Organizations (PIOs) are not eligible to apply. Applicants must be non-governmental U.S. and non-U.S. entities and individuals; Entities such as non-profit organizations, profit making concerns, Private Voluntary Organizations (PVOs), faith-based and community organizations, educational institutions, etc. are eligible to apply.
