Common Service Centre Scheme: Event and Training Session

In order to connect Government Schemes with people in general and to encourage employment among youth with disabilities; Trust Cradle following the same spirit of its endeavor has proposed to establish 100 Common Service Centres in “70 Blocks” of Delhi.

Trust Cradle in collaboration with United Nations, World Health Organization and United Nation Information Centre had successfully organized an event for:

Topic Induction and Training of Persons with Disabilities about the CSC Scheme
Dated 13th February 2021
Venue Head Office, Connaught Place, New Delhi.

On the grounds of past successful events recorded and the work done for rehabilitating the Persons with Disabilities, WHO has obliged Trust Cradle with an opportunity to take this initiative ahead and help in creating a powerful vehicle for efficient and effective delivery of services to all the citizens.

CSC Objectives

  • To provide e-governance services within the reach of the citizen.
  • By creating physical service delivery Information & Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure.
  • Helps in making a transparent service delivery mechanism.
  • Eliminating citizen’s effort in visiting government offices.
  • To promote youth entrepreneurship, build capacities and livelihoods majorly in rural areas.
  • Enabling the community participation and collective action for social change.

Employment Overview

  • Over 4.1 million of youth in India lost jobs due to COVID- 19 pandemic(joint report by International Labour Organization and Asian Development Bank).
  • The Government of India to adapt an urgent, large- scale measures targeted towards generating jobs for youths.
  • The employment status of Persons with Disabilities has also been affected at a very large level.
  • Running a Common Service Centre individually and effectively will help Persons with Disabilities to become successful entrepreneurs and overcome their losses.

The Event

There were around 100 participants who have attended this event and have shown prodigious interest in CSC entrepreneurship programme.

They have been briefed about the complete CSC Scheme including:

  • Process and Eligibility of Registration
  • TEC Training and Certification Process
  • Services that are offered via these Centres

Upcoming Session:

  • The interested people will be trained further by a professional from CSC department.
  • They will help PwDs by undergoing TEC examination.
  • Help in getting the certification to register themselves for opening up a Common Service Centre.
  • Expected to be attended by around 1,000 Persons with Disabilities.
  • Trust Cradle is in talks with Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment to be a part of this event and further encourage the youth with disabilities to participate more in opening up and in running their own Common Service Centres as successful entrepreneurs.
