Ability Fest

Like past years, Trust Cradle had organized a Mass Awareness cum Mainstreaming Programme
on Disability, Health and Ageing issues. With special theme on Assistive Products and
Technology, named Ability Fest held on UN International Day of Persons with
Disabilities, 3rd December, 2016.
The objectives of the fest were to promote:
- Right Perspective and Understanding of Disability,
- Awareness for Improving Access to Assistive
Technology and Products,
- Understanding for Preventions of Injuries and
Physical Accessibility in Public and Private Buildings and Transportation,
- Mobilize Support for Dignity, Rights and Wellbeing
of Persons with Disabilities,
- Nationwide Campaign for Skill Development and
Training for the Youth with Special Abilities and Creating Employment Opportunities
for them,
- Showcase Abilities of Persons with Disabilities
through Cultural, Scientific and Sports Activities
Activities held around the programme had covered a complete festive ambiance:
Pre- Programme Fest
- Poster Competition on Disability among Schools
- Sensitization of Programme for DPOs, NGOs and manufactures of Assistive Products
Fest Programme
- Ability Fair by NGOs to showcase their Products and Services
- Exhibition to display and demonstrate the Assistive Technology and Products
- Placement and Career Counselling for Differently Abled Persons
- Cultural Activities by Persons with Disabilities
- Sports Activities to display indomitable spirit of Persons with Disabilities
